Cherokee National Treasures

The Cherokee Nation Council committe for Education and Culture will meet on Monday, June 11. An item on the agenda will be the recommendations for adminstering the National Treasure honors for 2009. The CAHC sent recommendations to the committee a while back. It's anticipated there will be changes, which will be reported as soon as they are announced. I look forward to making nominations for this year and to announcements of award recipients. If you know of someone worthy of this award keep checking back on this website and we will have the information, and perhaps a link to, for nominations posted on the HOME page.

This blog can be used in a number of ways. You might use it to post product or service updates. Families might use it to keep their friends up to date. You may use it to discuss issues in the arts and humanities as they effect Cherokees and others. But, however you use it, be respectful and be thoughtful of others. Wado!

Don't forget to add Tags to your entries. For example, if your writing about your summer vacation to North Carolina, you might use the tags, "summer, vacation, North Carolina". As you post entries with similar tags, they can be linked together. This way visitors for our site can easily see all entries that are tagged as "vacation".
